Jacinda gets 3 more years
PRIME Minister Jacinda Ardern’s centre-left Labour Party has been given another three years after it won a landslide victory in New Zealand’s general election.
In one of the biggest swings in the country’s electoral history in 80 years, Ms Ardern was voted in for a second term as voters rewarded her for eliminating coronavirus.
In a victory speech in Auckland, Ms Ardern, 40, promised to “build back better from the Covid crisis”.
