NAVAS TIPS CAV TO BE OLE’S STAR NO CLOSED SHOP FOR TOP FLIGHT

EDINSON CAVANI will “triumph” at Manchester United, says former Paris St-germain teammate Keylor Navas.

The PSG keeper is backing veteran Uruguay striker Cavani, 33, to be a hero for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and said: “I’m convinced he will triumph in the Premier League.”

Cavani (above) could make his United debut against his old club in the Champions League on Tuesday.

PLANS to scrap relegation from the Premier League were on the cards if ‘Project Big Picture’ had been allowed to go ahead. The move, which included reducing the elite league to 18, was designed to get support from foreign owners.

But a Premier League club executive criticised the plan. He said: “In the lower leagues you should still be able to dream of one day playing in the Premier League.”
