Sterland is adamant the club won’t be the Premier League’s whipping boys.

Marcelo Bielsa’s impressive side have already shown they can mix it with the big guns in their first season back in the top flight after a

16-year exile.

And former full-back Sterland hopes the current squad can cement their own place in history, like he did with the club’s famous 1991-92 First Division title-winning side.

Leeds host Wolves tomorrow night, hungry to extend their promising three-game unbeaten league run.

“They’re not mugs,” said Sterland. “They’re not just in the Premier League to make the numbers up.”
