HAIL BALE FOR TEAM SAYS HOJ
NO FAN-BOY: Hojbjerg
PIERRE-EMILE HOJBJERG felt in his gut and his heart that the right thing was to join Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.
But the midfielder does not have the same tingly feeling as Spurs fans about Gareth Bale’s return to action for the club against West Ham today.
Hojbjerg said:
“It’s difficult to be a teammate and then say you are a fan-boy. An inspiration, yes, for sure, and a motivation. And again it’s a boost for the team. But a fan-boy, I’m not sure.
“He’s a good guy, a good professional, fantastic player. We are just proud and happy for him to be a part of it.”
The arrival of Hojbjerg, 25, from Southampton may have been unheralded but his impact has been impressive.
It’s all down to an understanding with Mourinho (above).
He added: “For me, it is the feeling I had, not only in the stomach, not only in the brain but also in the heart.
“It is the feeling I wanted to go with.”
