No buzz for Burnley

SEAN DYCHE has blamed the crazy start to the season on players missing the buzz of a crowd – just like actors on stage. Manchester giants City and United both suffered heavy defeats amid erratic starts, while Chelsea’s £200million summer spend hasn’t made them invincible and Liverpool’s 7-2 humiliation at Aston Villa sent shockwaves through the game before the international break.

And Burnley boss Dyche (left), who takes his stars to West Brom tomorrow, says players are like actors who respond to the crowd rather than an empty theatre.

He said: “The body’s chemistry changes – that fight, flight or freeze comes in and you see which ones do it well.”
