John’s a Bush Baby... Nice!
COMEDIAN Johnthomson was revealed to be Bush Baby in last night’s The Masked Singer.
The Fast Show star was unmasked in the cult ITV show after being voted by the audience to go head-to-head with Dragon who was saved by the judges.
He said Jonathan Ross had mentioned his name on earlier episodes but none got the clue in his song choice Please Release Me by Engelbert Humperdinck which featured in the hit 1990s show.
Asked why he took part he said: “Why not? It’s great fun.”
For the first time the eight remaining characters had come together on the show, having appeared on previous episodes split into two groups.
And all their songs were clues as to their real identity but still left the judges confused and making wild guesses.
Blob opened the show with Hotel Room by Pitbull and names put forward included Ainsley Harriott, Joewicks, Greg Davies and Davidwalliams. Sausage sang Lisa Stansfield’s All Around Theworld with Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Stacey Solomon and Sia proposed.
Viking’s choice was A-ha’s
Take On Me and Jonathan Ross stuck to his guess from last week with Game ofthrones star
Jerome Flynn while others were Matt or Luke Goss, Pat Sharp and Ben Adams.
Badger sang Kelly Clarkson’s Because Ofyou as the panel thought he was Brian Cox,tom Hardy, Kelly Jones or Jay Kay from Jamiroquai.
Bush Baby performed Please Release Me by Engelbert Humperdinck and the panel thought he may be David Hasselhoff, Noel Fielding, Gino D’acampo or Johntorode
On previous shows Alien was unmasked as Sophie Ellis-bextor, Seahorse as Mel B, Swan as Martine Mccutcheon and Grandfather Clock as Glen Hoddle.
