Blanchard’s legal win
AN ACCOUNTANT accused of laundering cash for the ex-henchman of late gangster John Palmer has won a battle against extradition to Spain.
Paul Blanchard, 76, faced up to 15 years in prison if convicted. He denies the allegations, claiming to be a police informant whose evidence led to the arrest of Lebanese businessman Mohamed Derbah, who worked for Palmer before setting up a rival empire.
