Funding appeal to No.10

-

DODDIE WEIR, Rob Burrow and Stephen Darby will take the fight to find a cure for motor neurone disease to No 10 Downing Street ontuesday.

The sports stars will deliver a letter signed by more than 200 fellow MND patients, who are a leading part of the Unitedto End MND coalition.

The letter states: “MND is a death sentence.we will lose the ability to walk, use our arms and hands, speak, eat and ultimately breathe.

“We will die of the disease because there are no treatments to help us.

“However, research has now reached a point where a cure or life-saving treatments can be found.

“The current piecemeal approach will not deliver treatments we need. We urgently appeal for action now.”

Anyone with MND can sign at https://patientsunited2endmnd.org/
