For eye health
“If you wear contact lenses, remove them a while before bed as this will allow your eyes to rehydrate properly through blinking before you go to sleep,” says Roshni Patel, an optometrist at lensstore.co.uk.
Eating a varied diet, rich in vitamins A, C and E and antioxidants, is also crucial. Ms Patel says: “Looking at screens can cause you to blink less, making your eyes feel dry. If you spend a lot of time using a computer, make sure you take regular breaks.” Having regular eye tests is essential, and reduce your intake of caffeine, alcohol and nicotine.
