Super Emma is faultless

Understandably there has been a lot said about Emma Raducanu being an inspiration to young sportspeople (“Tennis’s new golden girl is here”, September 12). However, what really stands out is the poise and determination of this 18-year-old.

It is a pleasure to hear her speak clearly and sensibly and be aware of the world around her. No screeching on court with her success, just a lovely smile.

Somehow she has also managed to do well in her A-levels.

She has been blessed with remarkable talents but youngsters can still take plenty of inspiration in knowing that you can mix hard work with pleasure and that it can be rewarding in whatever field.

Follow Emma’s example of ignoring any negative trolls and get on with life.
