Time we made a stand

As well as reinstating the crown on pint glasses post Brexit (“Crowning glory”, September 12), can we reinstate British summertime and take back three March weeks the EU robbed us of in 1984?

We managed without an identical time difference before and we will also save over a million-and-a-half tons of carbon.
