BRIAN HORTON believes his former club Brighton are this season’s Premier League dark horses.

The ex-seagulls captain and manager (right) has seen the club enjoy a solid start to the campaign.

Graham Potter has been in the Amex hotseat since 2019 and Horton, who made over 200 appearances for the club and managed them from 1998 to 1999, says the only way is up.

“Some tipped them for relegation but they’re far better than that,” he said. “They’ve got some fantastic players.

“Potter is doing a good job and earning himself a reputation as an exciting young English coach.”
