Baggies go-slow
A HAT-TRICK of draws has slowedwest Brom’s passage back to the Premier League.
Valerien Ismael’s side allowed themselves to become involved in a physical slugfest which was no advert for the Championship.
It was one tiresome long throw after another, though Albion were grateful for one hurled in by Darnell Furlong after going behind to a Ben Whiteman strike.
Matt Phillips headed home Furlong’s delivery butwest Brom were kept off the top of the table on goal difference.
Ismael admitted: “It was important for us to score just before half-time.we tried everything.we lacked quality.”
North End boss Frankie Mcavoy thought former Preston striker Jordan Hugill elbowed Patrick Bauer and should have been sent off.
Mcavoy said: “It took a long time to stop the bleeding. In my view it was dangerous.”
