Egan on goal trail again

- By Jason Mellor

JOHN EGAN was happy to take the London bus gags after ending his drought.

The big defender hadn’t scored for 14 months but bagged two in 11 minutes to make it five games unbeaten for the Blades.

Boss Slavisa Jokanovic said: “I’m happy for John – he took his goals well. We’re heading in the right direction now.”

Egan netted two headers from Conor Hourihane corners after a first-half opener from Billy Sharp – who saw a penalty saved.

The Tigers netted a consolation goal through Keane Lewis-potter goal but boss Grant Mccann said: “Losing goals from set-plays is a real kick in the teeth.”
