NANCY SINATRA revealed she could not stop crying after hearing news of White’s death. She added: “Godspeed, Betty White, you will be remembered and treasured forever.”

America’s First Lady JILL BIDEN added: “Who didn’t love Betty White? We’re so sad.”

Comedian recalled fondly how she first met White during an appearance on the sitcom Suddenly Susan in the late 1990s. “She actually treated me like an equal in the comedy gurrrl world. She was as sharp and funny as she was soft and wise and no matter how long this world continues to spin, there will be only one Betty White.”

Singer PINK said the actress’s performanc­es had helped her feel “less lonely” and a reminder that “kindness can actually win”.

“I spent my entire 20s watching Golden Girl reruns,” she wrote on Instagram. “To me, she was and will be forever a constant reminder of how kindness can actually win. What a legend. RIP.”
