Mick’s panto ‘heckles’ at Jerry debut

- By Ross Kaniuk

ROLLING Stones legend Sir Mick Jagger booed and heckled his ex-wife Jerry Hall when she made her pantomime debut, comedian Rob Brydon has revealed.

When the former model appeared as the Wicked Queen, Sir Mick was only too happy to bring some more drama to the performance, said

Gavin And Stacey star Brydon, who was also in the audience.

Hall and Brydon had struck up a friendship at a charity event and she invited him along to Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs at Richmond Theatre, south west London, in 2014.

Rob said: “I’m an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and they were auctioning a round of golf with me.

“At some point [Jerry] stands up and says, ‘I’ll caddy for Rob’.

“She walked the course with me and it was great. She’s vivacious and lovely and very appealing.

“So we’re going around the golf course and she says, ‘I’m going to be in Richmond in pantomime – you must come to the opening night’.

“I said, ‘OK, lovely’. So we’re sat behind Mick Jagger. She plays the baddie and he’s there going, ‘Boo, hiss, boo! – it’s behind you!’”

Rob continued: “In the interval I went to the loo. He was in the queue for ice cream and saw me and went, ‘Some good jokes, Rob’.”

Texan Jerry has revealed Mick got her into the delights of pantomime after she moved to the UK in the 1970s. She said: “When he took me to my first one I just loved it.”

They would take their four children every year while they were growing up close to Richmond Theatre.

The celebrity couple have remained on friendly terms since their split.
