ITV’S Cole in cup tie race hate ordeal

POLICE are investigating claimstv pundit and former England footballer Ashley Cole was racially abused at an FA Cup tie.

Cole, 41, was part of the ITV team for the Swindon Town versus Manchester City clash on Friday.

Swindon owner Clem Morfuni said the club was “absolutely saddened and deeply disgusted”.

He said yesterday: “We send out our heartfelt apologies to Ashley Cole.

“It is with our deepest regret that you had to experience that last night.”

He added: “Those few individuals do not represent Swindontown and will not be welcome at the County Ground.”
