Singers make waves on movie night

The Masked Singer.

Five celebritie­s took to the stage to baffle the judges in the hit ITV show.

The crooners, hidden by their wacky costumes, performed routines from the silver screen as part of the ITV hit’s movies extravagan­za.

Lionfish belted out the Whitney Houston song Iwill Always Loveyou fromthe Bodyguard while Doughnuts kept viewers guessing with a rendition of Spice Upyour Life, from Spiceworld.

Robobunny sang Shallow from the 2018 Oscar-winning A Star Is Born, while Firework dazzled with the hit title track from Fame.

And Mushroom chosethere Areworseth­ings I Could Do, from the 1978 musical Grease.

But it was Lionfish and Firework who went head to head for judges Davina Mccall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora and comedian Mo Gilligan to decide who should leave.

Lionfish lost the vote and

Pop Idol winner Willyoung was revealed.

Last weekend Heather Small, lead singer of the 90s band M People, was the first to be unmasked as Chandelier.

And broadcaste­r Gloria Hunniford, 81, as Snow Leopard, was the second celebrity eliminated in last Sunday’s show.
