Stars come out for Brooklyn’s £3m wedding
BROOKLYN Beckham and his American bride Nicola Peltz were set to marry yesterday in a lavish ceremony reported to have cost more than £3million.
The groom’s parents, David and Victoria, were among star-studded guests at a stunning £76million oceanside mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, owned by Nicola’s billionaire financier father Nelson.
Yesterday’s nuptials were due to be part of a three-day celebration for Brooklyn, 23, and actress and model Nicola, 27, that involves three aircraft hangar-sized marquees, three different wedding planners and three Valentino wedding dresses for before, during and after the ceremony.
The weekend started with a Friday night rehearsal dinner and is due to end today with a spectacular lunch in one of the marquees.
The ceremony – at which Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo, 19, and Cruz, 17, were expected to be groomsmen with 10-year-old sister Harper a bridesmaid – included a traditional Jewish service.
This was reportedly in honour of the couple’s shared heritage: Nicola was raised in a Jewish household while Brooklyn has Jewish roots through his football legend dad’s maternal grandfather.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, tennis superstar Serena Williams and Hollywood actress Eva Longoria were among stars arriving at the mega-mansion, previously the site of a mammoth presidential re-election fundraiser for Donald Trump.
Victoria Beckham’s former Spice Girl bandmates were all reportedly in attendance. Rap icon Snoop Dogg confirmed he was to act as DJ at a massive party last night in one of the marquees equipped with a dance floor for up to 1,000 people.
