TIKTOK andyoutube feature drill raps glorifying violence despite pledges to police to remove content that could intensify gang rivalry.

The Sunday Express found several videos with performers in horror masks rapping about knifing rivals and even burning them with acid.

In one video, whichtiktok removed after it was highlighted by us, a youth rapped: “When I catch that ***** I’ll make him bleed.

“I keep a weapon on me, so try run up get two in your spleen.”

The site said the footage was removed for violating “community guidelines on violent threats”.

However, similar videos with lines such as “he got done like kebab – it went through his chest and come out his back” were deemed not in breach of the rules.

Tiktok said it reviewed the content and acted in line with its guidelines that state anything that promotes real-world violence, or poses a threat to public safety, will be removed.

Youtube videos we found included a mock kidnap and lines such as “wedge that shank in your chest” and “grab him, stab him, axe him”.

A spokeswoman said: “We strictly prohibit videos that are abusive or that promote violence.we work closely with organisations like the police and National Crime Agency to understand local context.

“We’re committed to continuing and improving our work on this issue to make sureyoutube is not a place for those who seek to do harm.”

The videos remain available online. A Met Police spokeswoman said: “We work closely with platforms to identify content we believe could provoke or cause violence.the social media platforms make their own decision regarding removal of content.”
