“We would have added silverware to Manchester United, I think that’s successful wherever you are as a club,” Skinner said before today’s Wembley showpiece.

“We can add silverware for our fans. That will be hugely important going forward.

“There are things we will learn from this season that I know the answers to and we can fix in the summer, I have no doubts.”
