How do I deal with someone at work who tells me how to run my life, even though her own is a disaster?

I sit opposite this woman who has never met any of my family or friends but likes to tell me how to handle them. From suggesting I ditch my partner to bad-mouthing my parents, she gives opinions on everyone. Just stop giving this woman ammunition – keep your private life to yourself and don’t engage. She may find your

personal dramas distracting but your circumstances cannot be up for discussion. You’ve overshared and she’s exploiting the chink in your armour.
