Ex-hubby’s antics are not acceptable

My ex-husband only dates young women – because it’s an excuse not to change. Just when our children (19 and 20) get used to a new stepmum, he trades her in for another model. His young lovers mature and wise up. They begin to see, and question, his faults – selfishness, childishness etc – but they’re dumped as soon as they answer back. His latest squeeze is 23. How do I make him understand that he can’t live like this?

I suspect your ex-husband will argue that he can live his life any way he likes. You may not approve of his attitudes and behaviour (presumably why you divorced him) but is he going to change now? I doubt it.

The fact is that your children are growing up, but they have a solid, dependable parent in you. Reassure them of your continued love and support.

It won’t be long before they’re flying the nest and doing their own thing. Stop looking over your shoulder at your ex and vow to start living your best life.
