I’ve been told my cholesterol level is slightly raised. Should I stop eating eggs? Cholesterol in eggs has a much smaller effect on blood cholesterol than saturated fatty acids found in the likes of butter and fatty meats.
Egg yolks do contain cholesterol, but are low in saturated fat. So if you eat a balanced, varied diet low in saturated fats, there’s no need to limit your egg consumption.
Boil or poach them, rather than fry or scramble them with lots of butter.
