I’m fed up with boring friend

Must I drop a mate who keeps telling me the same old stories?

She has nothing new to say. I ask her how she is and she launches into a tale about her first boss that I’ve heard a dozen times.

She was made redundant in 2020 and I know she’s bored, but she’s frying my brain.

Can your friend be encouraged to volunteer or take up new interests? It’s criminal that her life is slipping away and she feels unfulfilled, and even

washed up. Offer to support her in finding a new direction.

Be gentle because it sounds as if her confidence has taken a huge knock.
