My boyfriend has terrible taste

My boyfriend is a spendthrift with no taste. I can’t trust him out on his own because he buys horrible things for the home. From naff pictures to hideous ornaments, I have to hide this tat when friends visit.

What can I say to him? Presumably your joint income is taking a hit too. Can you talk to him about budget and space? Point out that you find too much “stuff” overwhelming. Can you agree to choose any future pieces together?
