Father blasts ‘cruel and heartless’ British snobs

THE Duchess of Sussex’s estranged father has condemned “cruel and heartless” attacks on his pregnant daughter, blaming British “snobs”.

Thomas Markle, 74, says he is “seething with anger” at “relentless criticism every time she says or does anything”.

Royal watchers and friends of the Duchess have also warned that it is time to leave Meghan alone.

It follows months of claims and speculation by royal insiders who have leaked stories about Meghan, 37.

Now anxious palace aides fear Prince Harry is set to blow his top over the extraordinary attacks on his wife.

A friend said: “All of them criticise Meghan and only Meghan. Harry can’t help wondering if there is some sort of agenda going on here.”

Two years ago Harry complained of a “wave of abuse and harassment” with “racist overtones”.

A close friend of Mr Markle said: “Thomas is of the opinion, ‘What’s next? Is someone going to demand: Off with her head?’.”

Even though they have been estranged since her wedding to Harry, 34, in March, which he failed to attend after a heart attack, Mr Markle has said he is worried about his daughter.
