Jodie’s twist in the tale

DOCTOR WHO star Jodie Whittaker is to swap time travel to become the latest celebrity to read a CBeebies bedtime story.

The actress, who has received critical acclaim for her portrayal as the first female Doctor, will make her storytelling debut on Friday.

Whittaker will tell the tale of the curious explorer Ada Twist, Scientist by Andrea Beaty. She said: “It is such an honour to know that families and friends will be sharing this experience with me. I hope that everyone enjoys it as much as I did.”

The 36-year-old joins A-listers Sir Elton John, Tom Hardy and Dolly Parton as the latest high-profile signing for the show, on daily at 6.50pm.
