Fiona: I take cannabis oil after injury

-

TV PRESENTER Fiona Phillips has revealed how taking cannabis oil has helped control her mood swings.

The 57-year-old said she had been suffering from post-concussion syndrome after an accident left her with a painful head injury.

Fiona visited a doctor after she said the condition turned her into “a jittery, anxious, constantly on the verge of tears, shadow of my former self, with zero lust for life”.

The GP suggested antidepressants which she refused. But, after spotting a sign for “100 per cent legal cannabis oil” in a chemist, she tried it and is now recovering. She said: “It was expensive but worth it. Just five drops under my tongue each morning and I’m so much nearer me again.”

Cannabis plants are made up of 100 different cannabinoids. THC is the “psychoactive” ingredient, but another, CBD, is non-psychoactive and is what is used in cannabis oil in the UK.
