Attenborough’s warning

-

SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH has made an impassioned plea for mankind to protect endangered species, writes David Stephenson.

The campaigner has urged people to make more space for animals facing extinction in his latest series Dynasties.

It follows his warning about plastics in the ground-breaking Blue Planet II and his address to a United Nations climate change summit in Poland last week.

Viewers will see Sir David make his declaration tonight at the end of the concluding episode of the BBC One wildlife series, which focuses on the perils faced by the tigers of India and is on from 8pm. He warns: “All the animals we’ve seen in this series need space in which to live – and loss of space is a great threat to this species as it is to all other species.”
