Salah: Give Milner award

- By Tom Hopkinson

MO SALAH walked away with the match ball but not the man-of-thematch award after insisting James Milner deserved it.

Salah bagged a hat-trick and Steve Cook scored an own goal as Liverpool thumped Bournemouth 4-0 to move to the top of the table.

But the Egyptian hailed Milner (left) for making his 500th Premier League appearance and forced him to take the acclaim instead. Salah said: “I have to congratulate him for his amazing career. I hope I have more games like this in my career but I will not take the award.”

But Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp added: “What Mo did around his two goals in the second half was just exceptional.”
