BRENTFORD slumped to a seventh defeat in nine games as Wayne Routledge, a Chris Mepham own goal and Leroy Fer (below) put Swansea three-up in a dream first half.

Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma gave the Bees but they squandered a string of clear-cut chances to pull off an unlikely comeback. Boss Thomas Frank said: “You could say we deserved a draw, but when you give yourself problems like we did then it’s very difficult to claim anything.”
