Javi: I need to improve

- By Tony Stenson

WATFORD manager Javi Gracia admits he walks a tightrope despite signing a new four-year contract last month.

The 48-year-old Spaniard knows only results count at Vicarage Road and he desperately needs to halt a slump of just two wins in his last 11 games.

It’s not lost on him that tomorrow’s opponents Everton are manager by Marco Silva, sacked by Watford after a similar run.

The Pozzo family, who own the Hornets, have had 10 managers since they took control of the club in June 2012.

Gracia (inset) said: “I know I have to improve.

“I know other managers have been sacked for less.

“And no, I have not bought a house here... yet.”
