Van Dijk’s Barca ‘dream’

VIRGIL VAN DIJK is being tipped to fulfil his boyhood dream and make Barcelona his next move in football.

The £75million Liverpool star defender (right) revealed to team-mates at Groningen seven years ago that the Nou Camp would be his “eventual goal”.

And Kris Commons, who played with Van Dijk, 27, in his two seasons at Celtic, is in no doubt that he will move finally to either Barca or Real Madrid. He said: “You could see how good he was straight away. Virgil took us to another level. He had everything.

“He had to move on and left with everyone’s blessings. “I rate him alongside Sergio Ramos. Liverpool are a massive club but in terms of getting players, Madrid and Barca are above them. “I can’t see why Real, Barca or PSG wouldn’t come in for him.”
