A ONCE-HOMELESS veteran who suffered severe post-traumatic stress has begged struggling comrades to forget pride and reach out for help.

Neil Pressley served in the Army for 12 years, with tours in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Cyprus and Canada – only to be left alone and homeless after he struggled to adapt to everyday life and his marriage fell apart.

With nowhere to live and no one to turn to, father-of-five Neil 51, spent Christmas in his car.

He said: “This time of year can be the hardest for a lot of squaddies.

“In the Army, you are given one set of rules, you’re almost institutio­nalised, but when you come out you have to adapt – everything is different. And
