PRINCESS Diana’s ex-butler has urged the Duchess of Sussex to make firm friends with the Queen.

In a TV interview, Paul Burrell advises Meghan to “stay close to Harry and get to know his granny [the Queen]. She’s the one that matters most”.

Burrell suggests Meghan will be up against “powerful forces” in Royal circles. He said: “I know the way Buckingham Palace works. It’s like Downton on speed. I know that Meghan will not be popular with everyone; they like things to stay the same.

“We have Meghan surfacing like quite a diva in the Royal Family. Well, she’s a mature woman, she knows what she wants and she’s out to get it.” Burrell

‘William and Harry were a brilliant team but were also fiercely competitive’
