BATH sealed their first win in the competition, though both sides’ chances of progressing have long since fallen by the wayside.

A 79th-minute penalty from Welsh fly-half Rhys Priestland settled this frantic clash at The Rec after scrum-half Max Green and number eight Zach Mercer had scored tries for Bath.

Priestland added another penalty as well as a conversion.

Wasps scored their only one try through Nathan Hughes, but stayed in the contest as Lima Sopoaga kicked two penalties and a conversion, with Rob Miller also scoring from the tee.

Sopoaga was shown a yellow card for a no-arms block on Jackson Willison and a frenetic final 10 minutes brought the crowd of 13,307 to their feet.
