TIMID TIGERS SENT CRASHING BY WELSH
Scarlets 33 Leicester 10
LEICESTER Tigers were left with faces as red as the Scarlets’ shirts as they crashed to defeat in their penultimate Champions Cup pool game.
A weakened Tigers team, with qualification for the last eight virtually out of reach, were never in it against the Welshmen who were far from at full strength themselves.
The Scarlets cashed in on Tigers’ errors throughout, with prop Rob Evans grabbing two tries and Ken Owens, Johnny McNicholl and Steff Evans also crossing.
A break on the right from Jordan Olowofela finally helped put Tigers on the board with 13 minutes remaining with Will Evans and Mike Fitzgerald scoring tries.
