Olympic lovebirds to coin in the gold
Olympic golden couple Laura Trott and Jason Kenny have written a joint autobiography and are set to rake in millions from sponsorship deals.
The cycling superstars’ book wi l l be out in November after a bidding war between publishers for the rights.
It will tell how they fell for each other while training for Olympic glory, and how they juggle their relationship and careers.
Jason said: “This will be the inside story of how we have pulled it all off – the big races, the tactics and training, the struggle and the success.”
Laura added: “After Rio, this feels like the perfect time to tell our story. It’s been great looking back – and looking deep into what makes us both tick.”
The book looks like being just one of a range of moneyspinners for the lovebirds, who won five golds between them in Rio to take their joint total to 10.
It’s understood they are looking at a series of sponsorship offers after teaming up with a large retailer this week to help launch the iPhone 7.
Laura already has deals with Prudential and Adidas and her own range of bikes at Halfords. And Jason is set to massively increase his earnings from the £ 65,000 he gets in lottery funding.
Jason and Laura live in Knutsford, Cheshire, with their dogs. They plan to wed in the near future after he proposed on the sofa while they watched EastEnders.
