Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is plotting a stunning swoop for Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

The German, who worked under Mourinho at Real Madrid, will enter the final year of his contract in July and talks over a deal have been shelved until the end of the season.

Mourinho now plans to take advantage of the situation with an audacious move.

The Special One was furious when Ozil was sold by Real to the Gunners without his blessing for a fee of £ 42.5million.

And he could now try to snatch him for United, a move that would enrage Arsenal fans after the Old Trafford club pinched Robin van Persie back in 2012. Manchester City have joined the £ 40m chase for Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal have a long- standing interest in the 25-year- old while Atletico Madrid are also keen.

But City boss Pep Guardiola wants to add Lacazette’s goal power to his squad as part of his rebuilding plans. Everton want Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier to replace leg-break victim Seamus Coleman.

Ireland defender Coleman could miss the rest of the year after being crocked in a clash against Wales.

So Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is lining up a £ 6m move for Trippier. As ton Vi l la are plotting a move for Scotland star George Boyd when his Hull deal expires in the summer.

The 31-year-old forward worked under Villa boss Steve Bruce when he was in charge at the Tigers. Spurs are lining up a summer swoop for Burnley striker Andre Gray as they prepare to offload flop Vincent Janssen.

Gray only has 12 months left on the deal that he signed after leaving Brentford for £9m in 2015.

And Spurs will fund the move by off-loading Dutchman Janssen who has struggled at White Hart Lane. Che ls e a a re battling with Inter Milan and Juventus for one of the hottest young keepers in Italy.

Alex Meret has dazzled for Spal in Serie B on loan from Udinese and Blues boss Antonio Conte has asked for the 20-year-old to be scouted. Everton are confident of landing Burnley’s £ 25m defender Michael Keane this summer.

The Clarets are resigned to losing the England new boy and the Toffees are favourites to sign him. They are also interested in former Celtic star Virgil van Dijk but Southampto­n’s £50m price tag is putting them off.
