He said: “I live in south London and was enjoying a night out with my partner three or four miles from the market when the terrorists struck. “At around 10pm my mobile started to ring, just as the sirens started going. My heart sank. I knew something was very wrong.” He added: “When it does happen, you just have to deal with it then and there. The death count could have been a lot higher had it not been for the bravery of some of the Borough Market staff and traders, who tried to fight off the attackers.
