Who’ll be the big noise at pipe band contest?

Four-year-old Ethan Burke stole the show as the World Pipe Band Championships got under way in Glasgow yesterday.

More than 8000 pipers and drummers descended on Glasgow Green for the 70th anniversary event, which was expected to draw crowds of up to 40,000 people.

Ethan, from Northern Ireland, played his own wee set of pipes while watching the big boys practise.

Bet he’ll be one to watch in years to come.
