John is now Haro’s global brand manager in 80 countries around the world – and recently helped singer Pink with a birthday present for her daughter.
He said: “I’ve known Pink’s husband Carey Hart for a while. He’s a freestyle motocross rider.
“Carey hit me up for a bike for their daughter Wil low because she races BMXs and Pink put up a few posts of her kid riding her new Haro bike, so we were happy to help the family.”

John said: “Neighbours was brilliant and it felt like being part of a family. I went in once a week to appear as Malcolm Kennedy and Stonefish’s uni mate and did some bike stunts for them.
“I was really into a clothing brand called Fuct and was able to sneak on to screen wearing some dodgy T-shirts.
“Holly Valance had a Honda Prelude and I had a Mitsubishi VRX and one day after work we had a race up the freeway. She won – that was a blow to my male pride.
“The only person who wasn’t approachable was Anne Haddy, who played Helen Daniels. I think she was on five times more wages than anyone else.”
