Clueless star Stacey Dash has said she is withdrawing from her congressional campaign.
The actress, best known for her role as Dionne in the 1995 comedy, announced she had filed to run as a Republican in California’s 44th district last month.
Detectives raided a farm and recovered the vehicle nine months after it was swiped and despite it being f itted with fake registration plates.
But off icers are still searching for the shotgun cartridges which were packed into the back of the green Defender.
The £50,000 four-wheel drive was taken from an estate cottage near Hadd i ng t on , Ea s t Lothian, last June.
Police Scotland found the vehicle more than 10 0 m i les away following an operation at a farm in Cumnock, Ayrshire, last month.
Police Scotland conf irmed they were investigating the theft and believe the Land Rover was targeted.
The vehicle is owned by 77-year-old twins George and James King, who have lived in the cottage for 70 years.
Both worked as forestry workers on the Duke of Hamilton’s estate before retiring 12 years go.
They now spend their spare time shooting vermin such as pigeons for local farmers. James is a licensed firearms holder and George confirmed there was ammunition in the stolen vehicle.
He said: “The police say they’ve found the car and they’re still investigating.
“The Land Rover was in the garage when it was stolen. I think it was stolen to order and the police think so too. They’ve said it was a professional job.
