Mark Selby kept his China Open winning streak going to reach today’s final against Barry Hawkins.

The defending champ set himself up for a third title with a 10-8 win over Kyren Wilson in Beijing yesterday.

His last defeat at the event came 22 matches ago in 2014 against Mike Dunn.

And if he beats Hawkins in today’s best- of-21 final he’d secure his World No.1 status for a seventh season.

He said: “I’d like to look back and see my name against some of the records.

“Hopeful ly I can keep winning and hold on to No.1 spot as long as possible.”

Hawkins enjoyed a 10- 6 victory over Neil Robertson. Fife Flyers crashed 4- 0 to Cardiff yesterday as their Elite League play- off bid finally ended. Kirkcaldy netminder Andy Iles pulled off a string of great saves but the Fifers couldn’t stop the league champs’ late surge.
