Shirley’s Strictly equal pay demand
Shirley Ballas has won a £ 70,000 pay rise to match former Strictly head judge Len Goodman.
Shirley, 57, was paid £180,000 last year – less than Len’s £250,000 for doing the same job.
The former world Latin dance champion is said to have “insisted” on parity in the wake of the BBC gender pay row.
A Strictly source said: “Shirley insisted her salary was brought up to what Len Goodman was paid in the role of head judge.
“It’s a great victory for equal pay.”
Last night friends said LAbased Shirley was “highly likely” to sign the new deal.
