Inverurie Locos turned up the heat on champions Cove Rangers by climbing into second place after a fine 2- 1 home v ictory over Forres Mechanics.

Andrew Macrae thought he had secured a share of the spoils with eight minutes left but Locos’ league top scorer Neil Gauld grabbed an 88th-minute winner.
Victor ious manager Cooper said: “We had most of the possession but we knew it would be a hard match.
“Forres are a fantastic team and they’re doing well again this season.
“It was good that Mark Souter scored for the second game in a row – not bad for a centre half.”
Opposite number Charlie Rowley admitted: “I’m disappointed and frustrated. I felt there was an opportunity to go equal top in the table.”
Brora Rangers blew a chance to put more pressure on Cove after crashing to a 2- 1 defeat at home to Formartine United.
Martin Maclean gave Rangers a great start with the opener after six minutes but Paul Lawson’s side hit back three minutes later through Graeme Rodger.
Ex-Ross County striker Archie Macphee then grabbed a 68th minute winner for Formartine.
