First Minister to pay tribute to brave heroes
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will attend a series of Armistice Day events in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
She will lay a wreath at the Stone of Remembrance at Edinburgh City Chambers this morning before going to a service at St Giles Cathedral.
In the afternoon, she will attend a service at Glasgow Cathedral. She will then go back to the capital for a performance of Far, Far From Ypres at Usher Hall.
Sturgeon said: “Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity for people to join with others across the world to commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts during the last century.”
Meanwhile, an image of a World War I Tommy was projected on to Edinburgh Castle yesterday as part of the There But Not There campaign.
