Builder denies links to one of worst offenders
A firm claiming to be called Warmer Homes Scotland were among businesses identified by Trading Standards as the worst offenders.
The only company in Scotland with that name registered at Companies House are linked to rogue businessman Martin Hagan. Trading Standards Scotland were unable to confirm Hagan was behind the firm identified in their probe – and he denied being linked to nuisance calls when approached by the Sunday Mail. Hagan, 32, of Kirkintilloch, near Glasgow, was once exposed in this newspaper and on TV as a cowboy builder.
He is listed on Companies House documents as having been a director of Warmer Homes (Scotland) Limited. The businessman was appointed in October 2015 but an order was served just over a year later for the firm to be struck off the register of companies.
Hagan said yesterday he had “no knowledge” of Warmer Homes Scotland making cold calls or being blocked.
