Boiling mad over £5k deal

-

My grandad signed up for central heating at a cost of £5000 just before he died. But the boiler and radiators in his house are fairly new. I contacted the company and they insisted they were going ahead with the installation. What can I do? Speak to the loan firm. It sounds like the package has been missold to your grandad. If there is no money in his estate in any case, they won’t get their cash. Common sense should prevail. Ask the solicitor handling the executry to intervene if need be. sent a cheque to cover this in September after their boss visited d the house. He also promised to have contractors attend to the other issues. But that’s the last we’ve heard despite chasing things up. We’ve spent more than £1600 fixing things.”

I got on to Mullberry Homes, who promised to deal with the problems. They said: “Mrs Sturrock’s complaints are not repairs but snagging work. Any valid complaint will bee dealt with.

“We understand thehe Sturrocks have been on holidayiday – and they haven’t been in touch so we can get access too the property.”

The spokesman also claimed “no doors have fallen off” and said they don’t put shelves or hanging rails in wardrobes.
